Our Epic 85-Day Italy Adventure

We’re doing something we’ve dreamed about for years, spending nearly three months exploring Italy from top to bottom. It’s not just a trip, it’s an adventure built around curiosity, connection, and the kind of slow travel that lets you really feel a place.
We’re starting in Trieste, right on the northeastern edge of Italy, then working our way down the back side of the boot through hidden hill towns, seaside villages, and regions where English is barely spoken (which we love!). From Lake Garda and Lake Como, to the beaches of Puglia and the cliffs of Calabria, we’re exploring each region for what makes it special, its food, its people, its pace.
From there, we hop over to Sicily for a deep dive into island life, spending time in Taormina, Syracuse, and Palermo before heading to Sardinia to explore its wildly different coastlines and local culture.
And just when most travelers would be heading home, we head to the postcard-famous Amalfi Coast for a few weeks of sunshine and beauty, with stops in Sorrento, Capri, and Ischia.
We end the journey with four fun nights in Trastevere, a colorful, bohemian corner of Rome full of charm and energy. From cozy trattorias to lively piazzas and late-night street music, it’s where the city feels most alive. We'll be reflecting, and soaking in everything we’ve experienced before flying home on October 1st.
We’ll be filming along the way for our YouTube channel Don’t Wait To Wander!, sharing our favorite finds, challenges, foods, wines, and moments of awe. We’re also asking you, our amazing community, to weigh in along the way. Got packing tips, must-eat meals, hidden towns we shouldn’t miss? We want to hear it!
This trip is about embracing the unknown, living with intention, and proving that it’s never too late or too early to chase what moves you.
